Horsetails

I love horsetails this time of year. I also love to pull off all the stems and left with a nicely designed stick.

Bumble bee

These are more of the pictures I took of the bumble bee. I found them in a file with the others and thought I should put these ones  up aswel. I loved the bumble bee when it was buzzing around, and it was quite hard to get a good shot. But I'm happy with these ones and I hope you like them to.

I love these picture of it flying up to a flower. I caught them at the right time.

Ballymoney Crossroads

The Ballymoney crossroad is now all done up and there is many thanks to the people involved. It looks cleaner and there is more flowers, it looks great.

Unusual bird

I spotted these birds on my lawn the other day and noticed the unusual colour on the top of their heads. I know they're a starling of some sort because they were walking around with a big group of starlings.

More of Woody

I love this picture of him eating, and he is becoming more fond of me everyday and he is eating out of my hand all the time now. Looks like I'll need to buy more meal worms soon.

I think this picture is so cute. It's nice to see him with his beak directly towards the camera.

This is him on one of his favourite perches near a bush.

Goldfinch

I love this picture of a goldfinch. He had just finished stretching his wing and that's why he looks like he is walking funny. Goldfinches are very pretty birds and I look forward to taking more pictures of them.

Bumble Bee

These shots of a bumble bee where very hard to get. You have to be very persistent and keep an eye on the bee at all times. It took me many shots, most of which were blurry. But I'm glad with what came out and these were a couple of my best ones especially the first one of the bee landing on the flower.

Woody

Woody is our garden robin. He is beginning to come fond of me as I try and feed him meal worms as often as I can. I can often see him waiting in the branches of the hedge at the side of my garden and as soon as I see him I rush to get the meal worms. He is learning to eat them out of my hand but has only done so once. I don't actualy know if he is a boy or a girl so I just asume he is a boy anyway.
In this picture you can sea his red breast is only beginning to show.

I love this picture of him because he was just trying to swallow a meal worm .

Fly on a Daisy

I saw this fly land on this beautiful daisy and thought what a nice picture it would make. The lighting was nice and the fly didn't seem to mind me there, even though the camera was very close.

Snail

I love this picture of a snail. The light shines of the shell and the texture of the snails shell goes well with the wall.

A fly

I spotted this bug around some flowers on my patio and it stayed there long enough for me to get some good photos. I didn't need a zoom or nothing, the fly was calm and carried on with whatever he was doing. I particularly like the first picture as the reflection in the glass of the sky makes it look like the bug was flying high up in the sky.

Bugs

I was walking along my laneway and my Dad called me over after spotting these bugs. I'm still not sure what bugs they are. They seemed to be mating and there were lots more on other plants aswel.

Hares

This really isn't a masterpiece as it was taken through a window. But I was shocked to see two hares at once in my backgarden and I didn't have time to get a proper shot as they were running around to much. But it just goes to show how much wildlife there is under your nose.

Ballymoneys view of the moon

I love these pictures of the moon. As you can see the last to pictures are of the recently occured eclipse. I love to gaze out of my bedroom window and watch the moon and the crater patterns in the moon are marvelous. Unfortunatly there were clouds blocking the moon from a perfect picture on the night of the eclipse and what you see here is the best I could get. I hope you enjoy the moon as much as I do.

Busy Bee

This is one of my all time favourites. As I was walking along a path I decided it would be nice to have a picture of a bee. When I found one I had to manouver my camera a lot because the bee was moving around all the time. When I found my shot I was suprised by the peculiar colour of the bee in the picture. And also, as you look around the picture you feel as if your lost in all the branches until you eye is drawn to the corner. Thats what makes this picture so special.

Lazy magpies

I saw these lazy magpies lounging in a tree and thought it would make an interesting picture.

Ballymoney Robins

I love walking around Ballymoney and listening to the birds. But the one that stands out the most is the robin. It isn't that hard the get a shot of a robin, and I know that mine aren't picture perfect because there are many branches in the way, but i'm just a beginner. All you have to  do is listen carefully and look.

Rose

This beautiful rose was captured in the heart of my own home and I love the way the light makes the shadow, but yet you can still see the colour and beauty of the rose.

Ruby

My neighbours dog Ruby is always curious and i'm glad I caught these pictures which shows this. You can always tell how he's feeling, his eyes give it away. Every morning I can see him lounging around until he see's someone who can give him a rub.
